New Year, New Garden

After an unfortunate incident involving a vegetable-loving Pit-bull, my garden went nearly empty for a few months. I can laugh about it now – kind of.  The weather here in Goleta has warmed up and the tomato and pepper seeds I started in January are sprouting, so its time to dog-proof the garden and start fresh. This year I’m doing a lot of my old favorites, with some new stuff to try as always. Grower reports on grafted tomatoes using Maxifort root stock have been positive so I ordered some Maxifort seeds to give it a whirl .  I’ll take some pictures of the empty garden so I can document its progress, but for now, on to the list.
